  16. Wow! Boys and girls in the After-School Rigor Program, your blog ROCKS! I knew you had been working on this, and I knew you were learning a lot! But I had no idea how professional your on-line publication would be! I am SO proud of you!

I loved reading each of your articles, and I particularly enjoyed trying to match Lyman Hall teachers and administrators to their childhood pictures. Are you going to post an answer key so we can see if we guessed right?

  17. Excellent job in using your creative skills. Your way of interviewing the staff and describing them was good examples of your own styles of writing. Always remember your style of writing should paint a brightly colored picture but also be filled with your personality. Every story will be different because no two writers would be the same. Great job!

  19. Way to go Lyman Hall Young Bloggers! You are all very talented. I enjoyed watching and learning about your future careers. I also enjoyed seeing how much you had learned about MovieMaker and using digital media in your presentations. I can see that many of you had your audience in mind as you were creating your videos. I am thankful to have the opportunity to meet and work with each of you. You are blessed to have a great teacher like Mrs. Wendt and a great school like Lyman Hall. Please continue to share your writing and your digital media projects.

  20. How impressive! I love it!
I loved your creativity with Movie Maker when writing about your careers.
I loved your creative 'leads' and 'titles' of your articles. The "Fourth Grade Stampede" made me want to read more. And then when I read it, I laughed out loud as I visualized the engaging words.
Your hard work as 21st century writers was evident throughout the blog. I had a smile on my face as I read through the blog. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of what kids can do!

  21. Dear LH Bloggers,

Excellent work! I am very impressed with your 21st Century Skills, and I am very pleased to see you writing about your futures! Do you know what two of the best predictors of future success are? One is a strong future image of yourself, an image that is powerful enough to pull you along through the hard work it will take to get there! The other is a significant adult who believes in you!

You have both! Your future images are clear and powerful. And you have enthusiastic supporters – your parents, Mrs. Wendt, your other LH teachers . . . and ME! Keep believing in yourself! And keep blogging!

  22. Bloggers,

I love your work! You have interviewed some very interesting people and publicized many of the wonderful things that are happening at Lyman Hall. Your writing is very clear and entertaining, and it helps people who aren't from our school understand what great people and events we have at our school. Kudos to you!

  23. I learned so many things about you in your profiles. Wow! You are a bunch of interesting kids. You have many, many interests from cooking to horseback riding. One of you commented that you like to write because you "get to put your heart on paper." I can see that you all put your hearts on paper for us in these profiles. Congratulations on a job well done. I will miss you fifth graders terribly next year.

  24. Your site is wonderful. I have learned so much about Lyman Hall and about each of you. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication. We are very proud of you!

  25. WOW! I am very impressed with the entire blog. You are very hard-working students who have taken great advantage of the wonderful opportunity you have been provided to learn such wonderful skills that will only enhance your success in the future. When I was your age, we had nothing compared to what is available to you in technology. We were learning to type on old-fashioned typewriters when I was in high school! Infact, most of my college papers were typed on a typewriter. There were no computers or internet. No search engines such as Google with answers to any question at the tip of your fingers. You had to go to the town library and look in encyclopedias for information! Have you guys heard of those? Now that you have the knowledge, don't stop there! Keep a practice of life-long learning in all areas that interest you and the sky is the limit for you all! Super Job!!
